Saturday, April 11th - Safe Travels to Lisbon!

We wish you safe travels as you journey to Lisbon! Here are a few important departure and arrival details:

• Based on longer than usual lines at the airport recently, we recommend that you arrive 3 hours prior to flight departure time.
• If you are on American Airlines flight number 258 departing at 9:05pm on Saturday, April 11, you’re on block space and will probably need to check in at the American Airlines ticket counter. An American Airlines ticket desk is available at both Terminal A-West and Terminal A-East. TSA Pre is available at A-East and not A-West. Typically, the check-in experience is better at the American Airlines A-West ticket counter, which is where we’ll have a staff person to assist with any questions starting at 4:00pm that day. She’ll be wearing all black and a hot pink scarf. If you check in at the American Airlines ticket counter in A-West, you can walk to A-East for TSA Pre. • We always recommend bringing copies of your passports.
• Upon arrival in Lisbon, proceed to passport control, where your passport will be checked and stamped. Note - there can sometimes be long lines at passport control.
• After passport control, continue through the airport to the baggage claim area. The belt number where your luggage will appear is displayed on screens inside the baggage claim area. Airport staff might pull bags from the belt, so be sure to check both on and off the belt for your luggage.
• Trolleys are available for your luggage. (Note that trolleys cannot exit the terminal building). Once you have collected all your luggage, you can proceed to the customs area.
• When you exit the customs area, look for ground transportation representatives holding Peirce-Phelps signs. They will direct you to awaiting vehicles.
• Transfer time to the hotel is approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
• The official hotel check-in time is 4 pm, and the hotel will make every effort to have rooms available earlier. Remember that your room does not have to be ready to start enjoying your day!
• Upon arrival at the Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon, you will be greeted by your Peirce-Phelps’ hosts and our group check-in. A credit card is required for check-in and your passport handy for ID verification.
• A Peirce-Phelps Hospitality Desk will be available for your convenience.

Reminders:

• The Welcome Reception & Dinner + Silent Auction will take place from 6:30 - 9 pm in the Fernando Pessoa Ballroom. The evening includes delicious cocktails and food, and wonderful entertainment. Attire is Smart Causal.
  • During the Welcome Reception and Dinner, we will be hosting a silent auction in support of APAV. A selection of Lisbon experiences and restaurant gift certificates will be available for bidding, with all proceeds benefiting the organization. Please check the Peirce-Phelps mobile web app announcements for the full list of auction items. Guests who wish to participate are kindly asked to bring a credit card for payment.
